Canada’s Infrastructure Minister to visit Kamloops tomorrow

KAMLOOPS — Canada’s Minister of Infrastructure and Communities will be touring Kamloops tomorrow.

François-Philippe Champagne is touring southcentral BC to meet with community leaders in Kamloops and to visit community infrastructure projects “benefiting from Government of Canada funding,” according to a news release.

Champagne’s first stop will be at 10:30 a.m., at the BC Transit Centre on Ord Road to receive a demonstration of NextRide technology.

After that, Champagne will meet with Thompson-Nicola Regional District Board of Directors and local mayors for a roundtable discussion at 1:15 p.m.
