KAMLOOPS — For the first time in nearly three decades, the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra (KSO) is looking for a new leader.

Kathy Humphreys has announced her departure from the KSO’s executive director role, effective June 30, 2019.

In a news release, the KSO says a search for her successor will begin immediately.

The organization calls Humphreys’ 29-year career “unprecedented” for Canadian orchestras, and says she is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with the new executive director during an upcoming transition period.
