Extended public transit hours for Kamloops on New Year’s Eve

KAMLOOPS — BC Transit is extending its service hours in Kamloops on New Year’s Eve to ensure everyone has a safe ride home.

In a news release, the organization says the last trip of the night will be leaving after midnight on most routes.

Transit service through the holiday season will be on a modified schedule from Monday, Dec. 24, through Wednesday, Jan. 2:

• Dec. 24 — Regular scheduled service
• Dec. 25 — No service
• Dec. 26 — Sunday-level service
• Dec. 27 through Dec. 30 — Regular scheduled service
• Dec. 31 — Extended weekday service – last trip departs after midnight
• Jan. 1 — Sunday service
• Jan. 2 — Regular scheduled service returns
