87-year old man dies in Okanagan accident

VERNON — Police in the Okanagan are looking for witnesses after a collision yesterday morning.

Around 7:30 AM Sunday morning, police were called to an accident in Lake Country on Highway 97.

A witness told police one vehicle had crossed the centre line and struck another.

The 87-year old driver of the car that allegedly crossed the line died on the way to hospital.

The driver of the other car, a 52-year old man from Alberta was also taken to hospital, suffering serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
