TOTA wins second significant award

KELOWNA — The president of the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association says this type of recognition shows they are on the right track.
Glenn Mandziuk was commenting on TOTA being awarded North America’s Responsible Tourism Award at the World Travel Awards.
He says it’s part of why his group aims to develop tourism in a sustainable and responsible way.
“We know that the consumers out there, that are growing, want to come to a destination that respects their environment, their culture, their social systems, their economic systems, so that we don’t lose it for future generations>”
