Kamloops traffic blitz nabs 15 drivers

KAMLOOPS — Slow down and move over because it saves lives.
That’s the message from the Kamloops RCMP after 15 drivers were issued tickets during a two-and-a-half hour traffic blitz Sept. 13.
“Most of the drivers claimed they did not know about the law,” says Cpl. Jodi Shelkie. “This violation ticket is a $173 fine and three penalty points.”
She says motorists must slow their speed to 70 kilometres an hour when in an 80 km/hr or over zone and 40 kilometres per hour when in an under 80 kilometre hour zone.
