Lauren McCurrach, who inspired her family to get involved with the Terry Fox Foundation and raised over $14,000 for this year’s event, was touched by the amount of support the local run received.

“I’m feeling a little overwhelmed,” McCurrach said. “I didn’t think so many people would come out. I’m just feeling so thankful and grateful that so many care about this enough to come and to join us, and it’s really nice.”

McCurrach says Terry Fox continues to inspire because so many people have been impacted by or know someone with cancer.
