Suspect arrested after police search ceiling of Kelowna business

KELOWNA —     A 31-year-old West Kelowna man was arrested this weekend after police found him hiding in the ceiling of a business that they allege his broke into.

     R-C-M-P say they responded to a business alarm and found the glass door of the adjacent business smashed, then found the suspect hiding in the ceiling between two businesses and arrested him without incident.

     Police also allege the suspect, and individuals believed to be associated with him, tried several times to lure officers away from the scene, which could lead to additional criminal charges.

     Anyone with information is asked to call West Kelowna R-C-M-P.
