Kamloops-raised man found murdered in Calgary; two teens arrested

CALGARY — Two youths in Calgary have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a man who had mobility issues.

Police asked for the public’s help finding Jason David Peter Greyeyes, 48, on Aug. 17 when he hadn’t been seen for several days.

At the time, the service said Greyeyes might be headed to Kamloops.

He was raised in Kamloops and his father was a longtime Kamloops RCMP officer.

Greyeyes’ body was discovered Aug. 26 on a road on Calgary’s southern edge.

His identity was confirmed after an autopsy.

When Greyeyes was reported missing, police said he often required a cane or walker due to limited mobility.

The youths who have been charged cannot be named because of their ages.

No other details have been released.
