CRD lifts Gotchen Lake evacuation order

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Good news for one property owner near Gotchen Lake in the Cariboo.

The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) has lifted its evacuation order for the area. Issued six days ago, the evacuation order affected just one property.

Despite the good news, the CRD says an evacuation alert or order may need to be reissued if wildfire activity increases in the area.
