KAMLOOPS — The campfire ban that has become an almost annual occurrence in the Kamloops Fire Centre will come into effect this week.

The province has announced campfires will be prohibited throughout the fire centre region as of Thursday, July 26, at 12:00 noon.

Fire danger ratings for the region vary between ‘moderate’ and ‘high,’ but are expected to increase as sunshine and warm temperatures persist this week.
