CLEARWATER, B.C. — Attention campers: an Indigenous cultural event this weekend will close North Thompson River Provincial Park just outside Clearwater.

The event will take place July 6 to July 9. During this time, regular camping and day-use will not be available to the general public, including those with reservations.

The provincial government says those with existing reservations are being offered refunds for fees already paid.

“We understand that existing campers may be inconvenienced, and we will help to make alternate arrangements for them at nearby provincial parks or other private campsites at no expense (accommodation only), other expenses including food and beverage or personal charges incurred will not be covered by BC Parks.”
