KAMLOOPS — BC Hydro is working to get power restored to more than 31, 000  customers from the Central  Okanagan to the Shuswap after a powerful storm overnight.

Wind, heavy rain and lightning moved through from about 2 am to 3:30.

The front was so dramatic, the temperature at Kelowna airport  dropped from 25 degrees to 14 over an hour and a half.

Throughout the Okanagan and Shuswap, over 31,000 residents are still without power. This after power had already been restored to some 15,000 customers.
