TRU to benefit from provincial investment in graduate scholarship fund

KAMLOOPS — Thompson Rivers University’s graduate scholarship fund has received a boost from the provincial government.

TRU will receive $180,000 to support graduate students in such areas as science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Other programs such as TRU’s master of business administration will also be eligible.

The new scholarships are part of a $12 million investment recently announced by Premier John Horgan to support 800 awards of $15,000 each, through 2021 province-wide.

TRU currently offers six graduate programs after launching its first in 2005.

The school currently has almost 500 students enrolled in graduate programs.
