KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire and Rescue were able to quickly contain a grass fire at the north side of Strathcona Terrace early this morning.

KFR’s Troy Grant says they got the call at 3:00 AM.

When they arrived, residents on Strathcona were spraying down the edges of their property to help keep the fire from spreading in the grass and brush.

Grant says crews attacked the fire from above, and got a bush truck into the area off West St. Paul Street, where they were able to fight the fire from below.
