Allie Lake wildfire prompts evacuation orders and alerts

KAMLOOPS — The raging Allie Lake wildfire north of Savona has prompted its first evacuation orders and alerts.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has issued an evacuation order for 14 properties in Electoral Areas “E” and “J” which includes properties on the Clinton-Upper Loon Lake Forest Service Road, at Eagan-Bonaparte Lake Forest Service Road and more properties at Deadman Vidette Road.

The TNRD says residents living in the area must leave immediately. Those with any large animals in need of shelter are asked to call the TNRD EOC at 1-866-377-7188.

An evacuation alert has also been issued affecting 51 properties in Electoral Area “E” at Bonaparte Lake, at Bonaparte-Spur Lake Forest Service Road and the Eagan-Bonaparte Lake Forest Service Road.
