Venom squeeze out win, improve to 2-and-1 in TOJLL

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom (2-1-0-0) got by the South Okanagan Flames (0-1-2-0) 15-14 on the road last night (Monday) in Penticton. Kamloops now has back-to-back wins early in this TOJLL season.

The Venom trailed 7-5 after 20 minutes on Monday. Kamloops outscored the Flames 8-4 in the second period and the Venom lead 13-11 into the third. South Ok. had three of the five goals in the final period.

Kamloops outshot the Flames 16-14 in the first period, 20-9 Venom in the second, and each team had 14 shots in the third. The Venom outshot South Ok. 50-35 total and Ethan Milobar made 21 saves for his first win of 2018.

The Venom had over 40 minutes in penalties on Monday, while the home team racked up more than 20 PIM’s.
