KAMLOOPS — A scary incident could have ended up a lot worse in Juniper Ridge this morning.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl.  Jodi Shelkie says just before 8:00 a.m. a nine year old boy on a scooter collided with a vehicle backing out of a driveway.

“The boy was travelling downhill on Coldwater Drive on his scooter. At the same time, a driver was backing their vehicle out of their driveway in the same location,” she says. “Due to the speed the boy was travelling at and some hedges blocking the driver’s view, the boy ran into the back of the vehicle and tumbled.”
