Flood Watch issued for Cache Creek, Merritt, Williams Lake

VICTORIA — The BC River Forecast Centre has issued a Flood Watch for several communities in the BC Interior, including Cache Creek, Merritt and Williams Lake.
A High Streamflow Advisory remains in place for the rest of the Southern Interior.
The province says a ridge of high pressure brought seasonally hot temperatures to the province this week, and that led to an increase in the rate of snow melt at mid-elevation.
The Bonaparte River is subject to the watch, as are tributaries around Cache Creek.
