MERRITT — A 46 year old Merritt man is facing charges after he allegedly fired his shotgun at his home.

Merritt RCMP Staff Sgt. Lorne Wood says police received a call of a man with a firearm and possible shots fired at an address near the 2000-block of Coldwater Road Monday morning.

“Members attended near the residence and the subject of the complaint, who is known to Merritt RCMP, came out of his residence and was taken into custody without incident.”

Wood says a search warrant led to the seizure of a firearm and ammunition.
