PRINCE GEORGE — The province is injecting $134 million into re-growing BC’s forests in the wake of last year’s devastating wildfires.

Premier John Horgan made the announcement in Prince George this morning.

The money has been awarded to the Forest Enhancement Society of B.C. (FESBC) for a total of 71 projects.

The bulk of the funds, $99 million, will be spent in the Cariboo where fires scorched thousands of hectares of forested land.
