Sagmoen facing new charge

VERNON — North Okanagan resident Curtis Sagmoen is facing a new charge.

RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk with South East District says new information has come to light in relation to an incident which occurred in Maple Ridge in 2013.

“RCMP can confirm that Curtis Sagmoen has now been charged with assault causing bodily harm in relation to the 2013 event.”

He says no further information about the incident is being released at this time.

Sagmoen is already scheduled to have three trials for the eight charges he was already facing related to offences involving sex trade workers near Falkland last summer.

A preliminary inquiry will be held Oct. 22 for charges of pointing a firearm uttering threats and disguising his face.

On charges of assault and assault causing bodily harm, a preliminary inquiry will be held Dec 10.

And on a charge of mischief, a trial date was set for Dec 13.

The 37 year old Sagmoen has plead not guilty to all of the charges.
