KAMLOOPS — A Valentine's Day traffic stop near Kamloops was decidedly unromantic for a Surrey couple.

On February 14, a member of RCMP Central Interior Traffic Services stopped the couple for speeding on Highway 5.

The driver didn't have a driver's license and the vehicle was not registered to him, raising the officer's suspicions, as did their responses to questions about their travel plans.

A search of the vehicle yielded a large quantity of what police believe to be cocaine in the trunk.

Charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking are being recommended for both the driver and his female compainion.
