Senior struck and killed in Merritt

MERRITT — Tragedy in Merritt this morning.
RCMP there report a 92 year old female was struck and killed by a pickup truck downtown at around 11 a.m.
Cpl. Brock Hedrick says the woman was transported to hospital by the B.C. Ambulance Service but was pronounced dead on arrival.
He says the driver of the truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Both the B.C. Coroners Service and police are investigating.
