Snow cancels flights at YKA

KAMLOOPS — Today’s snowfall is causing headaches for some travellers at Kamloops Airport.

“It’s not just snowing here in Kamloops, there’s also some snow happening in Vancouver and as always our snow team is out there clearing the runways and taxiways and keeping them safe and open,” says Managing Director Heather McCarley. “But we’re seeing some cancellations today inbound from Vancouver and the turnaround so some outbounds as well.”

As a result she recommends anybody headed to the terminal today to check with their airline to ensure that their flight is on schedule.
