KAMLOOPS — The pre-Christmas rush was on full display in Kamloops Friday for one of the biggest shopping days of the year, Black Friday.

Hundreds of people flooded Andre’s Electronic Experts to get their hands on discounted Sony and other name brand TVs, car audio speakers, appliances, and more.

Sales and Marketing representative Lance Yamada says more than two dozen people were lined outside the store Friday morning to get their hands on the hottest deals, with the electronic store’s Black Friday blowout beginning yesterday.

“Phone sales went incredible last night,” said Yamada. “There was a total lineup at the Telus booth. We didn’t get out until 10:30 p.m, it’s been really good today.”

While busy, Yamada says Black Friday is one of his favourite days to work.

“You see a lot of people you’ve seen before. They have product that you’ve already sold them and you know they’re going to buy something else. It’s jus the general feeling, it’s like Christmas. Even if they’re just window shopping, it’s nice to say high to them.”
