KAMLOOPS — New Life Community Kamloops was hopping with activity on Monday, as volunteers served dozens of the city’s home a turkey dinner for Easter.

Plates of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy were served from 1 until 3 p.m. for hundreds in need. The annual feast allows many of the less fortunate to celebrate the holiday and then take leftovers for the road.

With the weather warming up, New Life is seeing an increase in the number of homeless people in the city, reflected by Monday’s turnout.
