Six people taken to hospital after vehicle crashes into Peachland library

PEACHLAND, B.C. — Six people were taken to hospital after an SUV crashed into the public library in Peachland late Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses said a blue BMW X3 in the parking lot suddenly drove over the curb and onto a pedestrian walkway before it crashed through the wall.

Some of the injured were hit by the vehicle and some by flying debris.
 
One man is in critical condition.
 
The 71-year-old female driver was transported to hospital for further medical assessment as a precaution.
