KAMLOOPS — Officials braved the snowy weather and broke ground on the $30 million Industrial Training and Technology Centre at Thompson Rivers University.

The new centre will measure 5,344 square metres in size, and is touted to allow TRU to add 550 student spaces.

Of the $30 million price tag, a combined $20.28 million will come from upper levels of government.

Completion is slated for spring of 2018, with an opening in the fall.
