19 people charged with drug trafficking in Vernon

VERNON, B.C. — A North Okanagan RCMP drug undercover operation in November and December has led to charges against 19 people.

Plain clothes officers purchased various quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl from street dealers.

The heroin had been spiked with fentanyl.

30 counts of trafficking in a controlled substance have been laid.  Six of those arrested remain in custody, six have been released on a promise to appear later and seven are wanted on arrest warrants.
