Blazers Joe Gatenby suspended by WHL

KAMLOOPS — The Blazers will be without defenceman Joe Gatenby for tomorrow nights game against the Victoria Royals.

Gatenby has been suspended for one game for a hit to the head in Saturday’s game against Tri-Cities.

It happened in the second period when Gatenby got his arm up on a rushing Juuso Valimaki.

Valimaki never returned after the Gatenby.

The Blazers scored a shorthanded goal during the five minute major, and went on to a 4-3 overtime win.
