Hundreds of volunteers came out to support the fall Rotary Food Drive on Saturday.

Kamloops Food Bank Executive Director Bernadette Siracky said the event was a prime example of the generosity that exists in Kamloops.

“We got 51,000 lbs. of food,” Siracky said. “And we had more volunteers for the 17th food drive than we’ve ever had before. It got finished so quickly, I can’t believe how fast 51,000 lbs. of food got sorted.”

Siracky was impressed with how successful the food drive was, considering how many other events were happening across the city.
