Kamloops girl dies after battling cancer

KAMLOOPS — A sad update to a story we first brought you two years ago.
Sam Donovan, the six year old Kamloops girl fighting a rare form of cancer, passed away this morning.
Sam was first diagnosed with Burkett’s Leukemia in July of 2014.
She fought resiliently but relapsed twice in the months since, and her death was confirmed on a Facebook page created to support her.
Sam had been staying at Canuck Place Hospice in Vancouver in recent weeks.
