KAMLOOPS — Mt Paul Golf course in Kamloops is experiencing the longest season on record.

Golf professional Rick Shick says the golf course typically closes mid-November but says the season has been extended due to warmer weather and less snow.

Shick says, “the course isn’t usually open this late in December. We’re usually middle of November kind of thing. When the frost hit’s we’re not able to open due to the conditions on the golf course.”

“I’ve only been here a few years, but apparently we’ve never had a longer season. We have a reduced green fee right now. We’re seeing about 14 or 15 people a day.”
