TRU braces for potential faculty strike

Thompson Rivers University students are watching nervously as labour tensions unfold between the school and its faculty. Though TRU Faculty Association leaders have been silent, there is word the faculty has voted in favour of strike action.

TRUFA would still need to serve the school with 72-hour strike notice before walking off the job, something that has not happened.

The school’s Vice President of Advancement, Christopher Seguin, says students are paramount in this dispute. Seguin adds the school has put mediation on the table and hopes a resolution can be reached before any job action is imminent.
