KAMLOOPS – KamCon returns to Kamloops this weekend with the seventh annual convention poised to be the biggest yet. The event opens Friday (Oct. 4) and runs all the way through Sunday at the TRU Campus Activity Centre.

KamCon gives people an outlet to play and try out various board and card games with other people in the gaming community. Other activities and special guests are planned throughout the weekend as well. Passes are still available at the door starting at $30, with organizer Tyler Carpentier saying he has seen the popularity of the gaming convention skyrocket over the years.

β€œThe really neat thing with the growth for KamCon is it’s been really organic,” Carpentier told CFJC Today. “It’s been the community that’s driven the growth for the convention, which is really cool. That’s what our vision was for the event when we started it up. I just encourage people to come out and try something new. That’s really what this event was all started about, was being able to try new things and experience all sorts of different aspects of the gaming world because there’s so much out there.”
