Kamloops RCMP officer injured in last week’s motorcycle collision expected to recover

KAMLOOPS — Details related to a vehicle incident which injured a member of Kamloops RCMP last week are limited, but the officer is expected to recover.

Emergency responders were called to the area of Fortune Drive and Fort Avenue on Thursday morning (June 6) after a collision between a marked police motorcycle and another vehicle.

The crash shut down a section of Fortune Drive for several hours as investigators examined the scene.

It was confirmed an officer had been taken to hospital, but the extent of those injuries was not known.
