RALEIGH, N.C. — Logan Stankoven is in the National Hockey League — for real this time.
The Kamloops-born former Blazers captain was recalled from the American Hockey League (AHL) by the Dallas Stars Saturday (Feb. 24), the second time in less than a week.
Stankoven received his first call-up Tuesday, but his time in the big leagues was short. He was sent back to AHL Texas later in the day before getting a chance to suit up for the big club.
Not only was Stankoven called up a second time Saturday, Stars coach Peter DeBoer confirmed he would be in the Dallas lineup to make his NHL debut in their game against Carolina.
