WolfPack Basketball falls in Alberta

KAMLOOPS — The final road games of the season went the way of Alberta for the WolfPack with the men’s and women’s team dropping decisions on Saturday.

The young WolfPack women were in tough against the nationally ranked Pandas side. Nya Derkach lead the way for TRU with her first career 10 point night, but the Pandas proved to be too much in a 80-34 final.

Danijela Kovacevic added 8 and Priyanca Sundher had seven in the defeat.

TRU returns home to the TCC for the final games of the regular season next weekend.

The men’s team was able to make things interesting before fading in the fourth quarter of an 83-61 loss on Saturday to the Golden Bears.

As TRU heads home, Saturday will be seniors night with the WolfPack honouring the Canada West careers of Daniel Bost and Tyler Schilling.
