Pair of flights between Kamloops and Vancouver cancelled as YVR deals with snowy conditions

KAMLOOPS — Air travellers are being recommended to plan ahead and check their flight status Wednesday (Jan. 17).

As of publication, Kamloops Airport’s (YKA) flight status online shows two departing flights from Kamloops to Vancouver have been cancelled: Flight 8059 via Air Canada and Flight 3072 via WestJet. Flight 8055 via Air Canada has been delayed by more than an hour.

Arrivals have also been impacted. Air Canada Flight 8058 from Vancouver to Kamloops and WestJet Flight 3071 have been cancelled while Air Canada Flight 8054 has been delayed by more than an hour.

In an update online Wednesday morning, Vancouver International Airport says fewer of its flights will be able to arrive and depart due to snowy conditions.

Anyone whose flights have been delayed or cancelled are encouraged to rebook online or over the phone rather than come to the airport.
