Police investigating weekend assault in downtown Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Mounties are investigating after reports of an early morning assault downtown on Saturday morning.
On Dec. 9, at about 2:20 a.m., Kamloops RCMP say they received a report of an assault on the 400-block of Victoria Street. An altercation began inside a business and then escalated when three men allegedly followed another man outside and assaulted him, police said.
The victim was taken to hospital for injuries received.
According to police, the investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed or has information on this incident can call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
