One arrested, one on the loose after Sahali business break-in Wednesday

KAMLOOPS — RCMP have one person in custody but are looking for a second after a Sahali business break-in early Wednesday morning (Nov. 22).

In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the first call to the business in the 500-block of Notre Dame Drive came at about 6:35 a.m. Wednesday.

A witness saw a man in dark clothing break a window at that business and flee with a large bag of merchandise. A short time later, a woman is believed to have approached the store and grabbed a box before taking off.

Officers found her and arrested her not long after.

“The woman was released with a court date and conditions, but the male suspect is still on the loose,” said Evelyn. “If anyone witnessed or has video in the area that is related to this investigation, please contact police as soon as possible.”
