Renowned speaker to address addiction and support at TRU event Tuesday

KAMLOOPS — This is National Addiction Awareness Week and Thompson Rivers University is hosting a renowned speaker in an effort to help local residents support those dealing with substance use.
Guy Felicella will speak at the Brown Family House of Learning Tuesday evening (Nov. 21) beginning at 6:00 p.m. His talk is entitled, ‘The Power of Human Connection.’
In addition to Felicella’s address, attendees will be given an opportunity to hear stories from those directly impacted by substance use and discuss how to support them.
Naloxone training will also be provided by staff from Interior Health and TRU’s Wellness Centre.
