Kamloops woman eyes trips to hot springs, Mexico, Scotland after $1M Lotto 6/49 win

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops’ newest millionaire has travel in her future.

In a news release issued Tuesday (Nov. 14), the B.C. Lottery Corporation says Elizabeth Czajkowski took home $1 million in the November 1 Lotto 6/49 draw. She both purchased and checked her ticket on PlayNow.com.

Czajkowski was working from home when she learned of her jackpot.

“I didn’t understand,” she said. “I thought there were too many zeros!”

Czajkowski says she plans to check out several B.C. hot springs, as well as take trips to Mexico and Scotland. A new vehicle is also in her sights, as well as setting aside some money for retirement.
