Snow falling along Coquihalla, more on the way

COQUIHALLA SUMMIT – Highway conditions are becoming more challenging along the Coquihalla Highway Saturday (Nov. 11) morning as a snow-laden weather system passes through.

Heavy wet snow has been falling overnight at higher elevations, blanketing the busy highway.

In a safety measure, commercial truck drivers are being advised to chain up through different sections of the highway. Equipping the large tractor-trailer units with chains should provide those vehicles with better traction and reduce their risk of slipping or sliding on the highway.
