Police incident blocks Highway 5 near Barriere

BARRIERE, B.C. — A police incident has blocked Highway 5 in the Barriere area.

Details are scarce, but RCMP are involved in a high-risk response in the area.

ERT vehicles were seen speeding through the city early Friday afternoon (Nov. 10) toward the north.

An RCMP spokesperson says the incident is in a neighbouring community to Kamloops – but police wouldn’t say where to protect the officers involved.
