Kamloops Fire Rescue providing free smoke alarms throughout November
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops residents in need of an upgraded smoke alarm will be able to receive one this fall.
In a news release issued Monday (Nov. 6) morning, Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) says it’s providing and installing new smoke alarms for free throughout November.
“A working smoke alarm can increase your chances of surviving a house fire by 50 per cent. It’s one of the first lines of defence in keeping your home and family safe,” Jeff Pont, KFR life safety educator says.
