WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — With the Kamloops Fire Centre dropping its campfire ban as of Thursday (Sept. 28), the Cariboo Fire Centre is following suit.
The B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) says Category 1 campfires will be allowed throughout the Cariboo Fire Centre as of 12:00 noon on Friday.
Larger Category 2 and Category 3 burning is still prohibited.
BCWS says the fire danger rating across most of the province has dropped to low or very low as cool, damp fall weather arrives.
