TNRD gives properties around the Ross Moore Lake wildfire ‘all clear’
KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: The B.C. Wildfire Service has now classified the Ross Moore Lake fire as ‘being held.’
EARLIER: The Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has given property owners around the Ross Moore Lake wildfire south of Kamloops the ‘all clear.’
In a news release, the TNRD says evacuation alerts covering 354 addressed properties around the fire have now been lifted.
The wildfire was first discovered at Ross Moore Lake, just east of Lac Le Jeune, on July 21. It’s believed to have been caused by lightning.
