TRU WolfPack hoping to bring home another win
KAMLOOPS — Coming off a weekend split, the TRU Womens Soccer team will be facing local rivals UBC Okanagan on Saturday (Sept. 2).
Goalkeeper Aneesa O’Brien said the team has learned a lot from the previous weekend and believes they are ready for the next game. “We had a bit of a rollercoaster, a win and then a tough loss, but I definitely think we learned a lot from that loss,” she said. “We came back to practice on Monday and it’s been good since, hopefully we continue that throughout the week.”
The WolfPack has nine new players this season but the team already feels united. “I think all of the rookies and senior players have been excellent this year,” said third-year player Allie Shayuk. “Everyone has been so cohesive and we’ve used pre-season to really take some time to get to know each other on and off the field,” she explained.
